President Ghani meets Danish Prime Minister PDF Print E-mail

The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with the Prime Minister of Kingdom of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen, at the sidelines of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly, Tuesday morning, New York.

The two leaders talked over several topics including those related to regional stability, economic and regional cooperation.

President Ghani said that Afghanistan is blessed with plenty opportunities and capacity of power generation and transmission. He spoke of the outstanding experiences of the Danish government in terms of power management, stating that Afghanistan needs to benefit from the experiences of Denmark for its effective power management.

Prime Minister Rasmussen said that the Danish government is ready to provide technical assistance to Afghanistan in respect of power management.

President Ghani invited Prime Minister Rasmussen to visit Afghanistan during an appropriate opportunity.

Prime Minister Rasmussen thanked President Ghani for the invitation, saying that he would visit Afghanistan during a suitable opportunity where the two leaders will discuss issues pertaining to Afghanistan and the region.
